HATHA YOGA

WITH GARBIELLE HUNTER

Every Thursday
5:00 pm - 6:15 pm
$10

This Hatha Yoga Asana Class is a gentle and strengthening, alignment-based practice.  We are always looking, listening and feeling for answers relating to the quest(ion) "What is Yoga?".  Each week the class will explore this question through the practice of postures (asanas), as well as philosophy principles of Yoga that enhance and reflect our understanding of what it is to be well in body, mind and spirit.  This class also seeks to familiarize us to the importance of moving in 360 degrees as often as possible.  We accomplish this by practicing postures in the five basic ranges of motion: forward folds, twists, inversions, side-stretches and backbends.  In addition, Pranayama (breath-work) is taught and woven through every class as the important foundation of all movement both on and off the mat.  No experience is required, just an open mind, eager heart and willing body.

Supplies: We have mats and props available in the Teaching Lodge.  You are also always welcome to bring your own gear.  In addition, please bring water to every class.
